1. Eligibility and Submissions
 

• Who Can Enter: To enter this contest you must be:
  At least 18 years of age 
  Not residing in countries of EU or US blacklist (Iran, North Korea, Russia)
  Minors under 18 years of age must have a written parental consent.

• Contest Theme: The theme for the SORSPIRE Photo Contest is OPEN, with 6 categories included: Landscape photography, Architecture photography, People category, Mixed media category, Wildlife & Animal photography, Abstract and Art Photography. 

• Submission Period: All entries must be received between [Start Date and Time, Timezone] and [End Date and Time, Timezone] (the "Submission Period"). Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

• How to Enter:

  • Photos must be submitted electronically via 

  • Each submission must include:

    • The Photographer's Full Name.

    • Contact Information (Email and Phone).

    • The Title of the Photograph.

    • A brief description/caption of the photograph (max. 100 words).
      Dimensions of the printed photograph (if any)

 
2. Technical Requirements
 

• Number of Entries: Each participant may submit a maximum of [Specify Number, e.g., 3] photographs.

• Originality: All entries must be the original work of the entrant.

• File Format: Photos must be submitted in [Specify Format, e.g., JPEG or PNG].

• Resolution/Size:

  • For Initial Screening: Files should be no larger than [Specify MB, e.g., 5MB].

  • For Finalists: High-resolution files (suitable for print, e.g., at least 300 dpi and 2000px on the long side) may be requested later.

• Editing: Minor burning, dodging, cropping, and color correction are acceptable. [Specify policy on major manipulation, e.g., "Composite images or heavy digital manipulation that fundamentally alters the reality of the scene are not permitted." or "Creative digital art is permitted." Be very clear.]

• Watermarks: Photographs with watermarks, borders, or date stamps are [Specify: Permitted / Not Permitted]. It is generally recommended to prohibit watermarks for judging.

 
3. Judging and Prizes

• Announcement: Winners will be notified via email and announced publicly on [Date] on [Specify Platform, e.g., SORSPIRE website and social media channels].

 
4. Rights and Usage
 

• Copyright: The photographer retains full copyright to their image.

• Usage Rights: By entering the contest, the entrant grants [Your Organization Name] a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, and display the submitted photograph for the purpose of promoting the SORSPIRE Photo Contest and its future initiatives.

  • This includes: Display on the contest website, social media, print materials related to the contest, and any winner announcements.

• Credit: The photographer will be credited whenever their photograph is used.

 
5. Disqualification
 

• Disputes: SORS Gallery reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the official rules, or any entrant who violates the spirit of the contest.

• Liability: Entrants must ensure that all necessary model releases, property releases, and permissions have been obtained for the photographs submitted. The entrant is solely responsible for any legal claims arising from the publication of their photo.
